MALMÖ // My good friends Victoria Rönning and Nikki Taylor (or Vikki and Nikki) from Sweden started venturing into their own little enterprise by starting Räls Communications. They are based in the multicultural city of Malmö, located in the southern most edge of Sweden.

Having worked with Vikki and Nikki, their aspirations for visual artistry intrigued me. Given my limited knowledge or exposure to this field, I’ve learned that the graphic facilitation (a.k.a Graphic Recorders) service can be used anywhere and in any workplace that need their ideas visualized.
According to this report, some companies have hired people to act as graphic recorders so they can create ideas and draw diagrams during meetings, and the result helps bring to light numerous concepts for their employees. One of the main exporters of this profession is Sweden, where there is a growing number graphic recorders who are hired to draw doodles and diagrams as a way of illustrating complicated concepts in business presentations.

The report also states that this new brand of visual note-taking helps generate ideas, fosters collaboration and captures the attention of employees who would otherwise be apt to play with their smartphones in the middle of meetings.
