I love Uber, no doubt about it. They provide a great service, reliable and safe. I’ve used it in three different countries and the one in Dubai is on another level as you’ve car transport companies taking advantage of the service and providing customers with an unprecedented level of service here in the Emirates.
But what I did observe also is the fact that there are more cars now in the streets, more congestion and traffic, which only equates to more pollution – right?
I’ve always associated Uber with everyday people, who have more space than they require, to share that space and make money out of it. Which is what I’ve noticed in Kuala Lumpur and Stockholm, but in Dubai I don’t think I’ve been in an Uber which wasn’t a Lexus or a Toyota Privia that is swanky and new (Lols).
Its a food for thought.
Nevertheless the service is great but unfortunately at a cost.
